CODE OF CONDUCT

 

A)  All referees must have completed a STONEY POINT SOCCER CLUB application form.

 

B)  All referees must have successfully completed the SUN COUNTY SOCCER referee certification training to referee Travel Soccer.

 

C)  All referees 18 years and older must have a police clearance completed.

 

D)  Referees must be neat in appearance and properly dressed, i.e., referee shirt, black shorts, socks.  

 

"This year our Referees are going to be represented by a Sponsor, just as all of our league teams are.  Therefore, in recognition and appreciation of our Sponsor, it will be mandatory that all referees wear the provided referee shirts."

 

E)  Referees should have (at least) a whistle, watch, pencil, paper, & red & yellow cards.

 

F)  Referees should Study the Laws of the Game and be aware of all changes and enforce all said laws and changes.

 

G)  Referees will conduct themselves with dignity both on and off the field of play and shall, by example, seek to inspire the principles of fair play and earn the respect of those the referee serves.

 

H)  Referees will ensure the rules of the game are to be regarded at all times, the spirit of which no one should try to evade or break.

 

I)  Referees will honour any game appointments made for and accepted by them unless unable to do so by virtue of illness or personal emergency.
